Concurso Loqueleo [PRODUCCIÓN]

Concurso Loqueleo is a platform designed to support the massive load of a national school contest. The system allows participants to register through an interactive step-by-step wizard and upload their final works (PDF documents and heavy videos). The great challenge of this project was to design an architecture capable of supporting extreme traffic spikes during delivery deadlines, being validated to handle over 10,000 enrollments without the system slowing down. To achieve this, a 100% cloud-oriented (Serverless) solution was designed that decentralizes the load, separating frontend consumption, backend processing, and file storage.

I worked on this project as a Freelance Full-Stack Developer, taking charge of the architecture design and end-to-end development. I implemented the frontend with Astro deployed on Cloudflare Pages to ensure almost instantaneous load times, and developed a REST API in Node.js/Express hosted in an auto-scalable way on Google Cloud Run. Data management was centralized in Supabase (PostgreSQL), while the massive storage of deliverables was resolved by integrating Cloudflare R2 (S3 API). To ensure quality, I parameterized the local environment with Docker and automated deployments with GitHub Actions. The project was successfully finished and delivered, and is currently operating in production.
